Associate Project Manager - Electrical Construction

About This Role

Assist the Project Manager in the administrative and technical direction of large, complex electrical construction projects to ensure they are built in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the total construction and design effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule
• Coordinate communication between internal and external project members, including General Contractors, Subcontractors, Superintendents, and Foremen
• Assist the Project Manager with project staffing decisions, including choice of superintendent, general foremen, and foremen
• Perform specialized estimating and assist in estimating projects
• Assist the Project Manager with purchase requisitions, payment approvals, and change order requests
• Assist in the implementation/interpretation of safety programs and ensure all OSHA requirements are met

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• 0-1 year of construction and/or project experience OR knowledge of construction methods
• Project management training, experience or skills with a general understanding of a project lifecycle
• Strong process orientation, analytical and mathematical skills
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
• Outstanding interpersonal and team leadership skills
• Strong attention to detail and ensure maximum quality of work
• Willingness to travel to and potentially temporarily relocate to project locations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• 0-1 year of construction and/or project experience, or knowledge of construction methods
