Assist the Project Manager in the administrative and technical direction of large, complex electrical construction projects to ensure they are built in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the total construction and design effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule
- Coordinate communication between internal and external project members, including General Contractors, Subcontractors, Superintendents, and Foremen
- Assist the Project Manager with project staffing decisions, including choice of superintendent, general foremen, and foremen
- Perform specialized estimating and assist in estimating projects
- Assist the Project Manager with purchase requisitions, payment approvals, and change order requests
- Assist in the implementation/interpretation of safety programs and ensure all OSHA requirements are met
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 0-1 year of construction and/or project experience OR knowledge of construction methods
- Project management training, experience or skills with a general understanding of a project lifecycle
- Strong process orientation, analytical and mathematical skills
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
- Outstanding interpersonal and team leadership skills
- Strong attention to detail and ensure maximum quality of work
- Willingness to travel to and potentially temporarily relocate to project locations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 0-1 year of construction and/or project experience, or knowledge of construction methods
