Associate Banker

About This Role

Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers by identifying their needs and providing financial solutions. Collaborate with partners to enhance customer relationships and contribute to branch business results.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with BMO partners to identify referral opportunities and grow customer relationships beyond personal banking
• Welcome and guide customers, offering advice on digital and self-serve banking options
• Assist in conducting client conversations about banking services to recommend alternative banking channels and provide personal banking and investment advice
• Meet customer transaction-based needs with seamless execution
• Review customer profiles and engage in needs-based conversations to identify opportunities and address banking and credit card needs
• Contribute to meeting branch business results and enhancing the customer experience
• Support operational activities including inventory management, escalated service requests, and application follow-ups
• Probe to understand customer banking and credit card needs, integrating marketing promotions into conversations
• Organize work information to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Follow through on risk and compliance processes and policies to safeguard customer assets and maintain privacy

Requirements

• 1-2 years of relevant experience or certification
• Confident and experienced in the use of social media, tablets, smart phones, online tools, and applications
• Some experience in a consultative customer service or sales role
• Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions

Qualifications

• 1 – 2 years of relevant experience or certification in a related field

Nice to Have

• Registration to sell investment products (Canada only, or in progress)
