This role involves coordinating and supervising the construction of high-density residential and mixed-use projects as an Assistant Superintendent. You will report to the Project Superintendent and General Superintendent, overseeing specific trades and phases of work.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct the efforts of Punch Carpenters and Laborers
- Develop and maintain working relationships with project building officials and inspectors
- Assist in scheduling all required jurisdictional inspections and testing
- Identify and make recommendations to Project Superintendent regarding project risks
- Supervise and monitor work of assigned hired trades, punch carpenters, and laborers
- Notify the Project Superintendent of all non-performing sub-contractors
- Prepare punch lists and ensure completion of all related work prior to inspections and product acceptance
- Inspect subcontractor’s work to ensure it meets subcontracted obligations and Company quality standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the multi-family construction industry
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field is preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the multi-family construction industry is required
