Assistant Superintendent - Multifamily Construction

About This Role

This role involves coordinating and supervising the construction of high-density residential and mixed-use projects as an Assistant Superintendent. You will report to the Project Superintendent and General Superintendent, overseeing specific trades and phases of work.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the efforts of Punch Carpenters and Laborers
• Develop and maintain working relationships with project building officials and inspectors
• Assist in scheduling all required jurisdictional inspections and testing
• Identify and make recommendations to Project Superintendent regarding project risks
• Supervise and monitor work of assigned hired trades, punch carpenters, and laborers
• Notify the Project Superintendent of all non-performing sub-contractors
• Prepare punch lists and ensure completion of all related work prior to inspections and product acceptance
• Inspect subcontractor’s work to ensure it meets subcontracted obligations and Company quality standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the multi-family construction industry

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field is preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the multi-family construction industry is required
