About This Role

Lead daily operations of a large distribution center, overseeing safety, employee engagement, talent development, production performance, and staffing. Partner with the General Manager to drive results and foster a high-performing culture.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in providing leadership, communication, managing logistics, and creating effective teamwork throughout the Distribution Center
  • Help establish, reinforce, track, and measure safety, quality, and performance goals for the Distribution Center
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in cooperation with the leadership team
  • Support in maintaining the physical condition of the Distribution Center, grounds, and material handling equipment
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures
  • Communicate with other department personnel to ensure coordination of Distribution Center activities with activities of other functions
  • Assume full responsibility in the absence of the Distribution Manager
  • Lead and mentor salaried and hourly leaders
  • Lead staffing, production planning, CI, and key initiatives
  • Lead changes and pivots throughout the day to ensure daily success

Requirements

  • 3-5 years prior supervisory experience in operations/distribution
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Advanced to Intermediate skills in MS Office Products
  • Experience with labor management systems (i.e, Easy Metrics, TZA)
  • Experience with payroll systems (i.e. Workday)
  • WMS proficiency (i.e. Oracle, SAP, Blue Yonder)
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment with autonomy and ambiguity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective team building skills and a proven track record of success

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years prior supervisory experience in operations/distribution
