This role involves overseeing daily hotel operations, ensuring high guest satisfaction, maintaining cleanliness standards, and fostering a positive team environment. This position plays a key role in supporting the General Manager and training new team members.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay, using their names whenever possible
- Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and a sense of urgency
- Maintain all areas, both front and back of the house, as clean and well-organized
- Complete all operational checklists accurately and at designated times
- Ensure all team members wear a clean, approved uniform, are well-groomed, and wear nametags
- Conduct daily walks including guest rooms and public spaces to ensure cleanliness and working mechanical equipment
- Provide one-on-one training to new team members on service and checklist expectations
- Supervise Guest Service team members to ensure friendly service and that guest needs are met
- Assist in completing required inventory counts
- Oversee adherence to all brand standards approved by MCR and conduct self-audits
Requirements
- Ability to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations and maintain composure and objectivity
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems, spreadsheets, and word processing
- Fluency in English (read, write, speak)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree Preferred
- Previous supervisory experience preferred. Progressive experience in the hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or service industry, including Rooms and Food & Beverage departments preferred.
