About This Role

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) will lead the day-to-day business operations, strategy, tactics, and P&L for Gateway Professional Baseball in Beloit, Wisconsin. This role involves achieving memorable experiences for attendees, growing corporate and ticket sales, and building community relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day business operations, strategy, tactics, and P&L for Gateway Professional Baseball in Beloit, WI
  • Represent and advocate for the Beloit Baseball team within the community
  • Support GM in achieving measured results for service quality
  • Maintain highest standards of operations for attendees, co-workers, and league requirements
  • Track MiLB trends and success of other baseball operations through regular reporting
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the corporate sales team to achieve revenue targets
  • Generate corporate sales and ticket sales revenue via employee outings from various industries
  • Guide sales staff with goal achievement through support, development, and encouragement
  • Create and develop relationships within the community by attending events outside of baseball
  • Actively monitor operations to achieve efficient and effective use of ownership assets

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of executive sports industry leadership and strategic planning experience
  • Experience thriving in a matrixed, shared services, highly collaborative business model
  • Experience in developing and executing business plans and delivering results in a high-growth, start-up environment
  • Knowledge of and passion for the sport of baseball and understanding of fan segments
  • Experience in leading creative development and driving consistent execution across consumer touchpoints
  • Experience using data and analytics to understand customers and behaviors
  • Experience with membership-related activities including loyalty programs and customer acquisition
  • Ability to develop effective marketing strategies and integrated business plans

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum five years of executive sports industry leadership and strategic planning experience.

  • Experience working with professional sports teams and/or leagues
