The Assistant General Manager at EōS Fitness assists the General Manager with the Sales team and day-to-day operations, focusing on membership sales and ensuring member satisfaction. This role involves leading, coaching, and training the Sales team to create a welcoming atmosphere and serve as a central information hub for members, guests, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Ensure sales targets are met, especially during weekends or in the General Manager's absence, by leading the team and driving sales initiatives.
- Sell club memberships, individual memberships, fitness services, products, and programs to achieve or surpass sales goals.
- Oversee membership billing processes, monitor the sales pipeline, and ensure timely follow-up with leads and prospects.
- Communicate goals, expectations, and procedures effectively to staff, ensuring clear understanding of roles and responsibilities.
- Supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, including equipment, locker rooms, and common areas.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintain proper certifications, and implement safety protocols.
- Provide high-quality customer service by addressing member concerns, managing membership inquiries, and promptly resolving issues.
- Engage with members in a friendly and approachable manner, actively listening to their needs, and providing clear and helpful responses.
- Communicate calmly and clearly with staff and members during emergencies or disruptions, providing necessary instructions to ensure their safety and well-being.
Requirements
- 2 years of customer service experience
- 3-4 years of sales experience
- 1 year of supervisory experience
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent relationship building and influencing skills
- Strong detail orientation and systematic approach to problem solving
- Good time management, organizational, and record-keeping skills
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Ability to work in a gym setting, move about club floors, communicate with others, and lift more than 40 lbs.
Qualifications
- 2 years of customer service experience, 3-4 years of sales experience, and 1 year of supervisory experience.
