Assistant Distribution CAD Operator 3

About This Role

This role involves designing and permitting distribution lines, creating precise drawings, and managing material ordering. The CAD Operator will utilize various software for electrical distribution designs, follow industry standards, and contribute to project schedules while mentoring junior operators.

Responsibilities

• Design and permit distribution lines, including drawing preparation, bill of materials development
• Conduct field visits to gather information for creating drawings
• Utilize various software to create overhead and underground electrical distribution designs
• Follow local utility and construction standards
• Learn, retain, and apply on-the-job training and use design software packages efficiently
• Work effectively in design teams, prioritizing and multitasking efficiently
• Handle shifting deadlines and scope changes with flexibility
• Mentor lower-level CAD Operators and provide minimal oversight
• Manage personal tasks and adhere to deadlines and scope

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience
• Computer-aided drafting (CAD) experience
• Ability to conduct field visits
• Clear understanding of geospatial relationships
• Very good oral and written communication skills

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited Technical School or equivalent experience
• 3+ Years of Experience
