ARRT Radiology / Limited License X-Ray Technologist

About This Role

This position performs x-ray testing, including body mechanics and patient movement, utilizing knowledge of anatomy and physiology. The role operates diagnostic equipment, develops film, and prepares the room with necessary equipment and supplies, while also performing Medical Assistant duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform x-ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement using knowledge of anatomy and physiology
• Operate diagnostic equipment, develop film, and prepare the room with necessary equipment and supplies for procedures
• Perform Medical Assistant duties including greeting patients, documenting vital signs, and assisting with patient transfers and procedures
• Execute follow-up calls with a sense of urgency
• Perform timely radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician
• Perform necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are conducted
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures adhering to clinical and regulatory patient safety guidelines
• Ensure equipment is in proper working order and report malfunctions to management or provider on duty
• Maintain and improve diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills
• Maintain current licensure and certification for facility radiology equipment and licensure

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification
• AR State X-Ray License

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
