Armed Security Officer

About This Role

This role is for an Armed Security Officer responsible for patrolling premises, responding to disturbances, and maintaining security at a Waffle House location in Raleigh, NC. The officer will uphold rules, report irregularities, and ensure a safe environment for employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of the premises
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
• Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, evict violators from the premises

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or provide documentation allowing residency and authorization to work
• Must provide a High Level of Customer Service
• Some basic computer knowledge
• Must be neat in appearance and grooming
• Must be able to pass a drug screening and background investigation
• Must have reliable transportation and phone
• Must meet the NC PPSB License requirements

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/ GED
• 1-2 years of security guard experience preferred

Nice to Have

• Military and/or Law Enforcement experience preferred
• 1-2 years of security guard experience
