Armed Security Officer

About This Role

Protect a pharmaceutical company's facility and employees as an Armed Security Officer by observing and reporting activities, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service
• Observe and report activities and incidents at assigned client location
• Guard posts, including building lobbies, reception areas, and control centers
• Conduct periodic foot patrols to check for irregularities, hazards, and unauthorized persons
• Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas
• Enforce site policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment
• Check for employee and vendor identifications
• Look for suspicious persons, packages, and activities
• Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, and other emergencies
• Maintain regular communication with the designated client contact and operations manager

Requirements

• At least 21 years old
• High school diploma or GED
• Current, valid Concealed Pistol License
• Good moral character with no felony or relevant misdemeanor convictions
• Pass a 5-panel drug screen
• Reliable vehicle
• Valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations in past 3 years and no alcohol related infractions in past 5 years
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills
• Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Flexible schedule
• Impeccable grooming
• Physically and mentally sound
• Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior law enforcement, military, or security experience preferred. 2 years of experience as a law enforcement officer preferred.
