Protect a pharmaceutical company's facility, employees, and visitors from criminal activity, accidents, and disasters. Provide outstanding customer service while conducting patrols and enforcing security policies.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, customers, and co-workers
- Observe and report activities and incidents at assigned client location
- Guard posts including building lobbies, reception areas, and control centers
- Conduct periodic foot patrols to check for irregularities, unsafe conditions, and security violations
- Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for all employees and visitors
- Enforce site policies and procedures
- Check for employee and vendor identifications
- Look for suspicious persons, packages, and activities
- Respond to incidents such as fire, medical emergencies, bomb threats, and weather incidents
- Maintain regular communication with the designated client contact and operations manager
- Follow and enforce site-specific post guidelines
- Understand and implement DK’s GIFTS program
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Current, valid Concealed Pistol License
- Good moral character with no felony or relevant misdemeanor convictions
- Pass a 5-panel drug screen
- Reliable vehicle
- Valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years and no alcohol related infractions in 5 years
- Friendly, positive, professional image
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
- Ability to solve problems and de-escalate situations in a non-confrontational manner
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Flexible schedule
- Impeccable grooming
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Physically and mentally sound
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED

- Prior law enforcement experience
- Military experience
- Security experience
- 2 years of experience as a law enforcement officer
- Criminal justice field experience
- Customer service experience
