Area Supervisor

About This Role

The Area Supervisor is a member of Store Leadership responsible for an assigned area of the Store and general operations when functioning as Manager on Duty. This role includes opening/closing the Store, supervising Associates, and maintaining a friendly shopping environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment, understanding that safety is the number one priority.
• Manage store security including entrance/exit control, EAS devices, Cash Office, and emergency procedures.
• Treat all Customers, Associates, and leaders with respect and professionalism.
• Represent and support the Company brand, maintaining a professional appearance.
• Ensure recovery, sizing, and markdowns are completed to Company standards.
• Process all merchandise with urgency, including receiving trucks and securing back-stock.
• Understand and comply with the Loss Prevention Awareness Program, maintaining a large Customer service presence.
• Execute Company Best Practices at the Front End, managing the line to expedite Customer wait time.
• Train and coach Associates on cash registers and Front End procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of Fitting Rooms, ensuring go-back compliance.
• Administer payroll including daily punch edits, Associate scheduling compliance, and reporting.
• Ensure cash pulls and bank deposits are conducted to Company policy.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Fluency in English
• Ability to work evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.

• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments
