Area Supervisor

About This Role

As an Area Supervisor, you will be a key member of the Store Leadership team, overseeing a specific area of the store and general operations as a Manager on Duty. This role involves opening and closing the store, supervising associates, and ensuring a positive shopping environment while maintaining merchandise presentation and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the Store
• Supervise Retail Associates and Stockroom Leads
• Maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment for Customers
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and maintain a clean work area
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes
• Maintain high awareness on the sales floor for a safe and secure shopping environment
• Ensure security of the building, cash, and merchandise
• Conduct loss prevention activities, including customer engagement and package inspections
• Expedite customer wait times at the Front End and enforce best practices for Associates
• Train and coach Associates on cash registers, shortage control, and Front End procedures
• Manage the maintenance and cleanliness of Fitting Rooms, ensuring garment tags are audited
• Oversee cash pulls, bank deposits, and payroll administration including daily punch edits and scheduling

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Fluency in English
• Ability to work evenings and weekends
• Ability to use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers and PC
• Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the Store
• Ability to regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop
• Ability to occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 lbs
• Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders and other assigned supplies

Nice to Have

• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments
