Airside HVAC Technician

About This Role

The Airside HVAC Technician will perform routine service and inspections on mechanical HVAC air handling equipment, troubleshoot and diagnose issues, and install new Johnson Controls HVAC equipment at customer sites. This role requires extensive travel and offers the opportunity to work with advanced heavy commercial and industrial air handling systems.

Responsibilities

• Install new Johnson Controls HVAC equipment (Air Handlers)
• Service existing HVAC equipment (Air handlers)
• Troubleshoot, diagnose problems and provide solutions in conjunction with JCI team / leadership
• Explain and educate customers on the appropriate use and operation of their HVAC equipment
• Document work performed, generating work orders and job reports

Requirements

• 1-2 years mechanical experience or equivalent
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to travel up to 100% of the work week
• Valid drivers license
• Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office programs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-2 years mechanical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice to Have

• Working knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning operating parameters with a strong foundation in electrical, controls, and refrigeration troubleshooting
• Associate degree or vocational certificate program
