This role involves supporting HCLS Solution Sales by guiding revenue across all products. You will act as a hands-on technical consultant, deeply engaging in solution delivery and positioning throughout sales cycles.
Responsibilities
- Assist sales personnel in qualifying enterprise customer needs and performing pre-demo needs analysis
- Participate on strategic accounts as the lead technical advisor
- Provide mentoring and training to peers and other colleagues
- Demonstrate products, both standard and tailored, to prospects and existing customers
- Generate product demo scripts and scenarios, and maintain demonstration environments
- Scope and deliver Proof of Concept/Proof of Value engagements with prospects
- Respond to Request for Information/Proposal documents
- Stay current on product developments/releases for demo and POC/POC requirements
- Support Marketing events such as user conferences, trade shows, and webinars
- Stay current on competitive analyses and understand differentiators
- Understand business and technical problems addressed by products, including key regulations and business drivers
- Conduct transition briefings with Sales Personnel and Professional Services to communicate commitments and expectations
- Act as the ServiceNow subject matter expert at Executive briefings/marketing events
Requirements
- 7+ years of pre-sales solution consulting or sales engineering experience
- Strong Pre-sales experience
- Prior and current technical expertise in web technology and ability to learn new technology
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Understanding of and experience selling to enterprise IT architecture
- Experience working collaboratively with product management, product marketing, partners, and professional services
- Creative problem-solving skills with a growth mindset
- Background in ITIL, Service Management, Asset Management, IT Management, IT Operations Management
Qualifications
- 7+ years of pre-sales solution consulting or sales engineering experience
Nice to Have
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving
- ITSM & ITOM experience
- Experience selling into and/or working with Pharma/Life Sciences
