Admixture Tech II - IV Therapy

About This Role

Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining drug inventory, and patient records. This role also involves staff training, problem-solving clinical documentation, and facilitating patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties of an Admixture Technician I
• Attend pharmacy staff meetings and read pertinent email communication
• Participate in orientation, education, and training programs
• Review literature and other materials as assigned
• Complete all competence/skills assessment requirements
• Maintain Technician Registration
• Maintain patient confidentiality
• Generate reports, pick lists, and labels as required
• Collect data, conduct quality monitors
• Onboard and educate new associates
• Problem solve clinical documentation issues and provide solutions
• Act as a conduit between nurses, providers, and benefit advisors to streamline patient care

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of technician experience
• 2+ years of sterile compounding experience
• 6+ months of hazardous drug compounding experience
• Computer skills to support distribution systems
• Current State of Florida Pharmacy Technician registration or Intern registration

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of technician experience with 2 or more years of sterile compounding, including at least 6 months of compounding hazardous drugs

Nice to Have

• National pharmacy technician certification by the PTCB
• Leadership experience
