About This Role

Maintain a complete and systematic set of records for business transactions within the assigned unit, ensuring accuracy and compliance. This role involves reconciling accounts, assisting with reports, and interacting with customers to ensure satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers and resolve customer complaints, relaying relevant comments to supervisors
  • Represent the company in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Assist Controller with reports and weekly closing procedures
  • Verify, allocate, and post details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in journals or computer files from documents
  • Summarize details in separate ledgers or computer files and transfer data to general ledger, using calculator or computer
  • Reconcile and balance accounts
  • Compile records to show statistics, such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other pertinent items
  • Calculate employee wages from time cards and submit payroll registers for payment
  • Prepare tax reports
  • Compute type and mail monthly statements to customers
  • Complete records to or through trial balances

Requirements

  • Prior bookkeeping experience
