About This Role

This role will provide administrative and academic support to the Dean's Office of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, coordinating personnel, financial, administrative, and office services. The successful candidate will help achieve operational goals by applying specialized administrative skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the administrative and academic head in planning, developing, and administering operating budgets.
  • Reconcile various general, restricted, and designated fund accounts and monitor revenue/expenditure status.
  • Prepare statistical reports, analyses, and summaries on budget activities.
  • Coordinate and participate in preparing and processing non-academic and academic personnel and payroll actions.
  • Interpret and apply internal operating procedures, University policies, and contractual agreements for personnel matters.
  • Identify and resolve processing problems to ensure timely handling of personnel matters.
  • Coordinate the use of facilities, services, and equipment, including space leasing and maintenance requests.
  • Participate in and coordinate the preparation of special projects and studies, collecting statistical data for reporting.
  • Serve as an information source to faculty, staff, students, and the public, providing information and resolving routine problems.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet established deadlines
  • Some knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Nice to Have

  • Some knowledge of and experience with University academic and/or non-academic personnel processing procedures and practices
  • Some supervisory experience
  • Ability to operate advanced office equipment, including software for desktop publishing, spreadsheet design, and graphics
