Manage Stroke Consult and Neurology in-patient services, providing high-level autonomous care for neuroscience patients admitted to the floor and step-down units. Direct the clinical management of emergent stroke patients and hospitalized Neurology patients, integrating education, research, leadership, and consultation into clinical practice.
Responsibilities
- Manage Stroke Consult and Neurology in-patient services, caring for a variety of neuroscience patients admitted to the floor and step-down units
- Direct the clinical management of emergent stroke patients and hospitalized Neurology patients
- Practice with a high level of autonomy and expert skill in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of neuroscience patients
- Integrate education, research, leadership, and consultation into clinical practice
- Participate in nursing and resident education, division’s research mission and projects, hospital committee membership and leadership
- Lead quality initiatives and provide continuity of care for hospital staff, patients, and their families
- Perform consults for acute stroke patients
Requirements
- Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required
- Graduate of Accredited Physician Assistant Training Program (PA-C) – Required
- Credentials Committee review and Medical Board approval
Qualifications
- Master's Degree or Doctor of Nursing Practice(DNP) in Nursing or Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate Degree – Physician Assistant - Required
