About This Role

Join WAHVE as an Actuary or Associate Actuary to perform pricing studies, analyze rating variables, and develop rating methodologies for insurance carrier clients. Work from home and utilize your extensive insurance experience in a part-time or full-time role.

Responsibilities

• Perform pricing studies to evaluate the profitability of insurance products
• Perform competitor analysis and trend analysis for insurance claims
• Analyze rating variables and recommend pricing changes
• Participate in rate reviews, modeling projects, budgets, and price monitoring
• Assist in the assessment of experience, source of earnings analysis, and reserve adequacy
• Aid in the development of rating methodologies for existing and new products

Requirements

• 25 years of full-time work experience
• 10 most current years of actuarial insurance experience
• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, statistics, or related major

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, statistics, or related major
• 10+ most current years of actuarial insurance experience within 25 years of full-time work experience

Nice to Have

• ACAS or FCAS designation
• Ability to extract and manipulate data in relational databases, SAS, SQL, R, or Python
• Strong experience using statistical techniques to build predictive models addressing underwriting or claim issues
