Activity Assistant

About This Role

The Activity Assistant supports the Resident Programs team in leading and executing engaging social and physical activities for residents, ensuring programs meet state requirements and provide purposeful daily events. This role also includes providing transportation for residents as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Program team with planning, developing, and preparing exercises, social, recreational, and educational events.
• Conduct all transportation, including medical transportation, for residents.
• Maintain knowledge of local communities, services, and events to incorporate into activity schedules.
• Establish a warm and welcoming atmosphere for residents and staff.
• Promote teamwork and a positive attitude among staff, attending activities with other disciplines as necessary.
• Continuously evaluate the quality and consistency of resident activities and make adjustments as needed.

Requirements

• High school degree
• Clear and insurable driving record
• Willingness to drive a passenger van

Qualifications

• High school degree, additional college experience preferred

Nice to Have

• Experience in a senior living environment
• Two years’ experience in activities
• Strong computer skills
• General healthcare knowledge
