Accounting Policy Manager

About This Role

Manage accounting policy for a financial services organization, providing technical accounting expertise, leading projects, and educating internal stakeholders on proper accounting treatment of complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Execute effectively in a fast-paced environment, quickly adapting to shifting priorities
• Develop creative, structured solutions to complex accounting and operational challenges
• Lead and manage projects, ensuring timely, high-quality execution
• Build collaborative relationships across the organization to influence decisions and advance strategic initiatives
• Facilitate meetings, communicate recommendations, and deliver presentations to varied audiences, including senior leadership
• Conduct independent research to support the resolution of complex business and accounting issues
• Demonstrate strong accountability, ownership of assignments, and a commitment to continuous improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 6+ years of progressive professional accounting experience
• Tenure at a major public accounting firm and/or within an accounting policy function

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of progressive professional accounting experience, including tenure at a major public accounting firm and/or within an accounting policy function
