Accounting Manager

About This Role

Manage day-to-day accounting operations, owning defined accounting processes and legal entities end-to-end within the North America Controllership team. This role ensures accuracy of periodic financial results, maintains internal controls, and drives process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end accounting operations for functional areas and/or legal entities, ensuring quality and predictability of monthly/quarterly reporting.
• Translate leadership and business priorities into actionable work plans, managing timelines and resource coordination.
• Serve as primary contact for the business in assigned scope, providing accounting insights on key transactions and financial results.
• Oversee accounting policy application and judgments across the region.
• Lead redesign and improvement initiatives such as automation and process standardization.
• Ensure consistent application of internal controls and governance frameworks.
• Provide direction, prioritization, and clear expectations to other team members, fostering growth.
• Serve as central coordination point for external/internal auditors within the region.

Requirements

• 7-10+ years of accounting experience
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with strong understanding of COGS, Inventory, PP&E, Shipping, and Labor accounting
• Proven experience in a public company setting, meeting strict deadlines and maintaining robust internal control and audit environments
• Technical proficiency in specialized accounting areas including Leases, Capital Assets/Impairment, and Inventory
• Familiarity with North American indirect tax requirements
• A proactive and initiative-driven approach
• High level of independence with ability to anticipate process challenges and drive solutions
• Evidence of process leadership (driving standardization or system changes)
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft products
• Experience with SAP
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• CPA certification

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 7-10+ years of accounting experience, including ownership of functional areas or legal entities and exposure to leading junior team members.
