Accounting Manager

About This Role

Manage financial operations for a dynamic real estate development company, focusing on construction project financial management, cost controls, and compliance. This role involves overseeing project budgeting, reporting, and supporting audits to drive financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgeting, job costing, cost tracking, and budget-to-actual variance analysis
• Oversee timely and accurate project financial reporting, reconciliations, and cash flow analysis
• Ensure proper accounting treatment, documentation, and compliance with contract terms
• Maintain internal controls and support internal and external audits
• Review contracts and monitor project progress to ensure financial alignment with timelines and budgets
• Prepare and analyze cost reports to identify risks and improvement opportunities
• Lead, train, and mentor the construction accounting team and collaborate cross-functionally

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting, job costing, and project-based financial management
• Proficiency with construction accounting systems
• Advanced Excel skills
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication skills
• Experience managing teams and working cross-functionally
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
