Accounting Manager

About This Role

This Accounting Manager will be the first internal accounting hire, responsible for owning day-to-day accounting operations, establishing processes, and ensuring accurate financial reporting for the U.S. operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage all U.S. accounting activities using QuickBooks, including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and account maintenance
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP
• Prepare internal financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses for leadership
• Develop and implement accounting processes, workflows, and best practices for a growing U.S. operation
• Establish internal controls to support financial accuracy and reduce operational risk
• Act as primary liaison with external CPA firm for tax filings, financial reviews, and audit preparation
• Partner with leadership on budget planning, forecasting, and cash-flow management
• Support inventory, cost-tracking, and ecommerce-related accounting needs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong proficiency with QuickBooks
• Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP
• Ability to build processes from the ground up
• Excellent communication skills
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
