Manage the accounting operations and provide financial guidance for a growing business focused on environmental containment, water treatment, and site access solutions. Ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with GAAP, and effective control systems.
Responsibilities
- Participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing short-term and long-term goals and objectives
- Oversee the operations of the accounting department
- Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
- Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data
- Ensure accounts receivable are collected promptly
- Ensure accounts payable are paid in a timely manner
- Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecasts data to determine department or division progress toward company goals and objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of senior accounting experience
- Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university
- 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in a senior accounting role
