Accounting Manager

About This Role

Manage general accounting duties and financial processes, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger accounting, and Financial Reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance for a manufacturing company specializing in power transfer equipment for utilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the accounting department and all related daily accounting tasks with strong attention to detail
• Review financial transactions and post them in the general ledger
• Review journal entries to be posted in the general ledger
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets
• Manage the company's financial operations (accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, financial planning)
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial laws
• Oversee internal and external audits
• Develop and manage the company's budget, tracking expenses and revenue
• Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure financial stability
• Lead and mentor the accounting team

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 8+ years experience in accounting
• 3-5 years in a managerial role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial analysis tools
• Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 8+ years experience in accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role

Nice to Have

• Master's degree or CPA
• Manufacturing experience
• Working Knowledge of SAP
• Experience with consolidation across multiple legal entities
• Experience with foreign entities/transactions
