About This Role

The Account Executive, Government supports the growth of State and Local Government within an assigned territory. This role focuses on the customer life cycle, managing contract renewals, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and increasing revenue and retention rates for T-Mobile.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities within the assigned portfolio of existing and target accounts.
  • Exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals and maintain appropriate customer churn goals.
  • Negotiate agreements and handle contract negotiations.
  • Act as the brand ambassador within the assigned territory, maintaining high levels of in-person customer meetings.
  • Sell the total portfolio of T-Mobile solutions by understanding client pain points and creating win-win scenarios.
  • Coordinate with Account Management, Dedicated Care, and other support team members to ensure a strong customer life cycle.
  • Use Salesforce.com and other internal systems effectively for reporting, forecasting, and documentation.
  • Lead customer presentations and attend events to promote the brand and engage with clients.
  • Develop and execute account strategies to improve results.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders, including operations, marketing, legal, compliance, government affairs, and pricing, to achieve specific goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 4+ years of proven experience in outside direct sales within an assigned territory
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong strategic selling skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good working understanding of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong technical abilities and ability to learn new concepts quickly
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with internal teams
  • Ability to develop deep client relationships
  • Strong organizational and territory management skills

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED (Required), Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • 4+ years of proven experience in outside direct sales within an assigned territory.

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years of sales experience in the public sector
  • 2+ years in telecom or technology sales
  • 2+ years of account management and strategic selling
