About This Role

The Account Executive will focus on opening new restaurant business, growing existing accounts, and gaining market share in a competitive food service market. This role involves daily prospecting, relationship building with restaurant professionals, and achieving sales KPIs.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect daily to open new restaurant accounts (independent and regional chains)
  • Build a full territory through cold calls, drop ins, referrals and follow ups
  • Grow sales through menu placement, product penetration and consistent maintenance
  • Hit or exceed weekly activity goals and sales KPIs (new business, penetration and retention)
  • Manage your route with urgency, owning your schedule, targets and results
  • Develop strong relationships with chefs, owners and managers
  • Compete for business in a crowded market and win on service, product and execution
  • Communicate market feedback, competitive activity and opportunities to leadership

Requirements

  • Restaurant experience (FOH, BOH, management of foodservice sales)
  • Proven street sales or hunter mentality
  • Comfortable with cold calling and rejection
  • Competitive, self-motivated and accountable
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Organized, disciplined and able to manage a fast moving territory
  • Valid driver’s license, daily travel required

Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent real world experience
  • Prior restaurant experience (FOH, BOH, management of foodservice sales) or foodservice distribution sales experience.

Nice to Have

  • Prior foodservice or distribution sales experience
  • CRM experience
  • Basic tech proficiency
