Account Executive

About This Role

Drive profitable volume growth for Darling Ingredients' Restaurant Services Department by engaging with existing customers and soliciting new clients through effective communication and sales strategies.

Responsibilities

• Engage with existing customers to increase overall relationship span and deliver profitable volume growth
• Develop relationships with new and existing clients through personal contact or internal leads
• Establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on potential or existing customers
• Grow profitability by retaining and growing high volume and multi-unit accounts to meet or exceed company goals
• Understand product values and evaluate profitability of new and existing customers
• Implement sales strategies and follow through to successful contract negotiation and service agreement execution
• Regularly utilize CRM for new and existing customer profiling, including data entry for brand management
• Conduct site and equipment surveys and facilitate installs during pre and post-sales processes
• Work closely with Operations & Logistics teams to provide quality service to customers and efficient material handling
• Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience selling to the restaurant industry
• Ability to travel up to 50%

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Exceptional problem solving & organizational skills
• Computer skills/knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Office, CRM and Oracle systems
• Positive attitude, ability to manage time effectively, work independently and proactively, and display solid follow up techniques
