This Account Executive role focuses on managing and growing a portfolio of commercial clients by providing exceptional service and innovative insurance solutions. The role involves developing tailored solutions, collaborating with client advisors, and executing sales processes to meet client needs and foster long-term relationships.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients and prospects
- Identify new business opportunities and cross-sell additional products and services
- Consistently meet and exceed individual sales goals and revenue targets through account rounding and prospecting
- Conduct thorough needs assessments and deliver customized insurance and total client solutions
- Negotiate terms and coverage with underwriters and carriers
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
- Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the client lifecycle
- Collect detailed risk and underwriting information including survey data and loss history
- Develop and deliver formal proposals of insurance including details of coverage, limits, deductibles, and other pertinent information
- Collaborate with Account Manager to ensure complete company submissions and account service, including claims issues
Requirements
- Ability to function independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and teams effectively
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills including correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- High level of understanding accounting or strong math skills
- High degree of critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Ability to adapt well to change in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced level proficiency with MS Office
- Knowledge of Agency Management Systems
- Compliance with continuing education requirements for agent licensing
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 5+ years commercial insurance experience or recognized equivalent
- 5+ years commercial insurance experience
