Account Executive - Commercial Insurance

About This Role

Manage a book of commercial insurance business with a focus on transportation, ensuring client retention and identifying new sales opportunities. Coordinate and execute client servicing, marketing, and risk management activities while leading an account team.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily activities and workflow of the account team
• Maintain high technical competence and industry expertise in commercial insurance
• Manage client relationships, conduct meetings, and close business
• Act as a communication conduit between Producers and the account team
• Manage client service activities, policy administration, billing, and claims
• Manage policy expirations and renewals
• Conduct research, gather information, prepare submissions, and bind coverage for new business and renewals
• Monitor accounts receivable reports and collect outstanding balances
• Maintain data accuracy in agency management systems
• Deliver excellent service, anticipate client needs, and respond quickly to requests

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience, or 7 years of sales, marketing, or relationship management experience
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
• Experience to service and support large, complex accounts
• Required active licensing
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• 5+ years of industry experience, or 7 years of sales, marketing, or relationship management experience

• Professional designation (CIC or equivalent)
