Guide and inspire youth in after-school programs, fostering social-emotional learning, academic support, and engaging enrichment activities. Make a lasting impact by sparking confidence and creating memorable experiences for students.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome students to the program
- Organize and lead activities including homework assistance, recreation, arts and crafts, and educational projects
- Participate in indoor and outdoor enrichment activities
- Create unique clubs for students, such as career readiness, cooking, anime, and dance
- Maintain a secure environment by following safety protocols and monitoring student behavior
- Oversee the safety and well-being of students during after-school activities
- Encourage participation and adapt activities to meet diverse student needs and interests
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in after-school programs or youth recreation
- Ability to communicate effectively with children and parents
- Completed 48+ college credit units OR passed an academic proficiency exam
- Negative TB test result
- Pass a Live Scan background check
Qualifications
- 48+ college credit units completed OR academic proficiency exam pass
- At least one year of experience working in after-school programs or youth recreation, especially in ethnically and culturally diverse communities
Nice to Have
- English-Spanish bilingual speaker
- COVID-19 vaccination (if required by school)
