Elementary School Assistant Site Coordinator

About This Role

This role involves working directly with students in after-school programs while also holding leadership and administrative responsibilities. The Assistant Site Coordinator will support the Site Coordinator, manage student safety, develop lesson plans, and track attendance, fostering growth within the company.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Coordinator as the second point of contact for parents and administrators
• Oversee the safety and well-being of students during after-school activities
• Establish and enforce rules and expectations to promote positive behavior
• Coordinate, manage, and be involved in indoor and outdoor enrichment activities
• Attend trainings or staff meetings to stay updated on best practices in childcare, safety, and program management
• Address challenging behavior constructively, involving supervisors or parents if necessary
• Facilitate sign-up procedures to ensure accurate attendance tracking
• Create unique clubs for students, such as career readiness, cooking, anime, and dance
• Organize and lead a variety of activities, including homework help, recreational games, arts and crafts, and educational projects

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience working in after-school programs or youth recreation
• Good communication skills with kids and parents
• College transcripts showing 48+ college credit units completed OR pass an academic proficiency exam
• TB test (negative proof required)
• Pass a Live Scan background check
• Reliable commute

Qualifications

• 48+ college credit units completed or pass an academic proficiency exam
• 2+ years of experience working in after-school programs or youth recreation, especially in ethnically and culturally diverse communities
