The Yard Person will act as a material handler and forklift operator to build loads for deliveries, maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized lumber yard and warehouse for a building materials supplier.
Responsibilities
- Build loads for delivery and unload freight including lumber and building supplies
- Operate forklift after receiving training and certification
- Communicate delays or discrepancies with management
- Maintain the lumber yard and warehouse
Requirements
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information to others one-on-one
- Ability to periodically lift up to 80 pounds
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
