Writer with Security Clearance

About This Role

This role involves researching, drafting, and editing various documents including articles, speeches, and testimony about the organization, missions, operations, and initiatives. The Writer will ensure consistent messaging for both internal and external audiences, contributing to the support and advancement of weapon systems for the U.S. Space Force and its partners.

Responsibilities

• Research, draft, and edit articles, speeches, and testimony on the organization, missions, operations, and initiatives.
• Gather, develop, and check the accuracy of information from various sources, including Acquisition Deltas and staff organizations.
• Perform additional research and provide recommendations on staff submissions to ensure consistent style, grammar, and flow.
• Coordinate with the Government to ensure consistency and accuracy of messages for internal and external audiences.

Requirements

• Extensive experience and expertise in Technical Writing
• Demonstrated ability to conduct research and produce information materials (speeches, briefs, documentation)
• Prior experience producing Government (DoD preferred) or Congressional reports
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities
• Excellent project management and organizational skills
• Ability to identify and solve problems
• TS SCI Eligibility

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree
• 10+ years of relevant experience, with a minimum of twelve (12) years' experience in Technical Writing.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with space programs
• Knowledgeable in Air Force, Space Force, and Space Systems Command documentation formatting and presentation
