The Senior Acquisition Consultant will provide strategic acquisition guidance and subject matter expertise to the US Space Force (HQ USSF) COMSATCOM Office, supporting the integration of a transformative COMSATCOM business model into a broader SATCOM enterprise. This role involves advising on acquisition strategies, managing acquisition requirements, and overseeing procurement processes.
Responsibilities
- Advise HQ USSF on acquisition strategies as the COMSATCOM market evolves.
- Serve as the lead liaison between the HQ USSF contracting office and user organizations to identify all acquisition requirements.
- Provide planning assistance in developing an end-to-end solution to satisfy operational requirements.
- Provide oversight in the development of acquisition plans in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 7.1.
- Coordinate with systems engineers to ensure technical requirements are achievable.
- Ensure procurement strategies are achievable and in accordance with FARs and guidelines.
- Lead the development of performance metrics to establish performance-based contractual relationships.
- Draft contractual modifications, as required by Government Contracting Officers.
- Monitor procurement milestones and ensure deadlines are met.
- Assist the Government with responding to industry communications.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Government acquisition
- Bachelor's Degree
- Secret Clearance Required
- Skilled in Microsoft Office software
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent customer service skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Government acquisition

- DAWIA Certification
- PMP Certification
- CFCM Certification
- TS/SCI Clearance
- Experience with program/project management operations
- Knowledge of COMSATCOM provider business models
- Experience with satellite systems and SATCOM requirements-based planning and service provisioning
