Locksmith/Assistant Physical Security Specialist

About This Role

This role involves performing locksmith duties for GSA containers and doors, ensuring compliance with specifications, and working as an Assistant Physical Security Specialist to establish and maintain physical security programs.

Responsibilities

• Drill GSA safe containers, vaults, STC doors, repair as needed, and provide inspections for recertification
• Install and service electronic and mechanical GSA rated locking hardware and devices (XO7, XO8, XO9, XO10, S&G 2740B, S&G8077)
• Perform combination changes for locks
• Install and program new locks (Cypher, Unican, CO100, E-Plex)
• Run risk assessments, provide security recommendations, and identify GSA compliance deficiencies
• Assemble and disassemble vault locks, padlocks, safe locks, and door locks
• Repair and replace overhead door closers, ADA electronic door closers, electronic door levers, electronic door strikes, MAG locks, AI-phone devices, exit devices, astragals, hinges, door plates, and thresholds
• Oversee key control system and maintain area key control integrity
• Conduct physical security (PS) and key control program establishment and updates
• Manage overall responsibility for physical security of physical properties

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance with eligibility to obtain TS/SCI
• 5+ years of related experience
• Virginia Locksmith Certification
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills
• Strong customer focus
• Proven ability to understand, process, prepare and track reports and processes
• Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience

Nice to Have

• Top Secret (with SCI eligibility) Security Clearance
• Experience working in Physical Security with specialized locksmith tools, computer programs, and key cutting machines
