Welding/Industrial Technology Instructor

About This Role

This full-time, tenure-track faculty position involves providing leadership and expertise in welding and industrial technology for Cerro Coso Community College. The instructor will deliver instruction in various modalities to ensure student success and equity.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in a full range of welding and industrial technology courses
• Participate in student recruitment and articulation
• Maintain subject matter currency
• Develop and revise curriculum
• Use innovative learning technology
• Assess learning outcomes
• Participate collegially in departmental, college and discipline-specific professional activities
• Teach courses in various locations at different times and with different modalities, including face-to-face, online, and interactive modalities
• Potentially teach in the college's incarcerated student education program

Requirements

• Bachelor degree and 2 years related professional experience OR Associate degree and 6 years related professional experience
• Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or Associate degree
• 2 years related professional experience with a Bachelor's degree OR 6 years related professional experience with an Associate's degree
