Join a high-performing Waterfront/Coastal team to contribute to the planning, permitting, and design of complex waterfront and coastal infrastructure projects. This role involves engineering analysis, design, and site inspection for various marine structures and coastal protection solutions, making a tangible difference in coastal communities.
Responsibilities
- Support ongoing Waterfront/Coastal practice projects
- Assist in engineering analysis, preliminary, and detail design of waterfront/coastal structures
- Design and permit waterfront developments including piers, marinas and boardwalks
- Analyze and design structures for flood and erosion control such as seawalls, bulkheads, revetments and breakwaters
- Contribute to living shoreline erosion solutions designs
- Conduct/review technical analyses/calculations
- Complete mooring and berthing analyses and design
- Perform dredging design and permitting
- Administer construction contracts
- Involve in site inspection and reports
Requirements
- B.S. in Civil, Structural, Waterfront, or Coastal Engineering
- 3-5 years’ experience in Marine/Waterfront Engineering
Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil, Structural, Waterfront, or Coastal Engineering (a Masters degree may be substituted for 2 years of relevant work)
- 3-5 years’ experience in Marine/Waterfront Engineering
Nice to Have
- Masters degree in Civil, Structural, Waterfront, or Coastal Engineering
