Senior Project Designer - Land Development

About This Role

This Senior Project Designer role involves managing and leading land development projects, developing client relationships, and overseeing the creation of engineering plans and specifications for diverse projects in New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Direct projects by managing and delegating tasks, forecasting workload, financial performance, and staffing needs
• Collaborate with clients and teammates across the organization on projects
• Oversee and engage in the development of existing client relationships, including periodic meetings, developing proposals and budgets, and gathering feedback
• Prepare agreements and manage the creation and approval of construction plans, bid documents, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates
• Analyze complex technical challenges and develop new or improved techniques, approaches, and alternative solutions
• Develop engineering plans and specifications in a team environment for a multitude of projects

Requirements

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field
• 8+ years of experience working on complex projects including site layout, grading, utility design and stormwater management
• Experience in developing and compiling/producing site plans, construction documents, specification, and engineering reports
• Understanding of New Jersey market
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Proficient in Microsoft Project
• Proficient in MS Office

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field
• 8+ years of experience working on complex projects that involved site layout, grading, utility design and stormwater management

Nice to Have

• Experience with GIS Systems
