Project Accountant

About This Role

Join VHB's Watertown Finance team as a Project Accountant, responsible for client invoicing, subconsultant invoice processing, and accounts receivable collection. This hybrid role supports a leading AEC firm in improving communities and economic vitality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process client invoices, including agency workbooks, cover letters, and progress reports
• Maintain records of billing terms, including rate tables
• Maintain client portal access for invoice uploads
• Review and process subconsultant invoicing relative to project requirements
• Assist with accounts receivable collection
• Assist with research and resolution of client questions related to invoicing and payments

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Management, or equivalent experience
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to think critically and solve problems
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Management, or equivalent experience
• 0-4 years of related accounting, finance, billing, or equivalent experience

Nice to Have

• 0-4 years of related accounting, finance, billing, or equivalent experience (preferably within the AEC industry)
• Knowledge of Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint or other similar financial applications
