Join VHB's Watertown Finance team as a Project Accountant, responsible for client invoicing, subconsultant invoice processing, and accounts receivable collection. This hybrid role supports a leading AEC firm in improving communities and economic vitality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process client invoices, including agency workbooks, cover letters, and progress reports
- Maintain records of billing terms, including rate tables
- Maintain client portal access for invoice uploads
- Review and process subconsultant invoicing relative to project requirements
- Assist with accounts receivable collection
- Assist with research and resolution of client questions related to invoicing and payments
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Management, or equivalent experience
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to think critically and solve problems
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Management, or equivalent experience
- 0-4 years of related accounting, finance, billing, or equivalent experience
Nice to Have
- 0-4 years of related accounting, finance, billing, or equivalent experience (preferably within the AEC industry)
- Knowledge of Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint or other similar financial applications
