Supervise and manage venue distribution and warehouse operations including inventory, receiving, purchasing, and equipment maintenance. Provide leadership, coaching, and training to part-time warehouse staff to ensure efficient and profitable business operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and run venue distribution/warehouse operations including inventory, receiving, purchasing, and ordering
- Actively supervise, coach, counsel, direct, train, and mentor employees in meeting company quality standards
- Ensure established procedures for tracking purchase orders, requisitions, and inventory are maintained
- Maintain sanitation and organizational systems of all warehouse storage areas
- Provide direction to part-time warehouse staff for event lay-ins, requisitions, breakdown, returns, and equipment storage
- Ensure adherence to the purchase order system for all received orders, verifying specifications and proper labeling
- Oversee and ensure appropriate stocking levels for each event, rotating and maintaining product integrity
- Ensure proper transfer process of product between departments, including documentation
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of concession and utility equipment
- Evaluate warehouse employee performance and maintain employee records
- Conduct walk-throughs of commissary, warehouse, and storage areas to ensure cleanliness
- Oversee daily operations as opening or closing manager on duty
- Assist Kitchen Manager with daily/weekly/monthly inventory
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years warehouse / distribution experience
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff and guests
- Ability to make sound business/operations decisions under pressure
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Solid working knowledge of computer applications: Microsoft Office, POS systems, timekeeping system
- Thorough working knowledge of all existing concessions locations and procedures
- Thorough working knowledge of all applicable sanitation requirements, food preparation guidelines, and safety standards
- Ability to calculate basic math functions for inventory
- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years warehouse / distribution experience and 2 years of supervisory experience
