Warehouse Supervisor

About This Role

Supervise a new distribution center in Boca Raton, FL, assisting with its setup and managing shipping, receiving, inventory, and customer communication, with potential for team growth.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and getting a new distribution center up and running
• Receive and train for over a month on site operations
• Oversee one direct report with potential for team expansion
• Manage shipping and receiving orders
• Coordinate with other distribution centers
• Track and manage inventory
• Communicate with customer service centers
• Handle reporting for the facility
• Oversee the facility as a whole

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience within a warehouse/shipping & receiving position
• Experience picking and packing orders, loading and unloading, doing associated paperwork
• Ability to cut and nail wood together
• Ability to lift 25lbs
• Ability to use a forklift
• Experience mentoring or leading others
• Proactive and involved personality, willing to help ramp up the new location
• Solid communication skills with customers
• Tech-savvy to learn new systems
• Comfortable with change and adaptable
• Forklift certified
• Experience as a one-person operation
• Analytical mindset
• Experience managing other team members

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience within a warehouse/shipping & receiving position

Nice to Have

• Experience working with fragile or particularly large items
• Experience with Sage300 and Swift Count scanning system
