About This Role

Join the Staples Supply Chain Team as a Warehouse Receiving Associate, responsible for various warehouse tasks including operating material handling equipment and ensuring safe and accurate product movement to deliver essential products to customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks
• Pick product up to 100 lbs and move product within the warehouse
• Perform general cleaning and basic maintenance duties (Warehouse Porter)
• Confirm accuracy of product and resolve discrepancies and damages (Warehouse Receiving)
• Manually unload trucks and palletize products (Warehouse Receiving)
• Match item quantities and descriptions to packing slips on returned items (Warehouse Returns)
• Organize, stack, and shrink-wrap customer orders on pallets (Shipping)
• Load trucks manually; lifting, lowering, and carrying product in a fast-paced environment (Shipping)
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace

Requirements

• Ability to be Material Handling Equipment Operator certified
• Ability to safely operate necessary material handling equipment
• Ability and willingness to keep work area clean
• Ability to adopt safety procedures quickly and ensure safe work practices
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations
• Minimum three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment
• Ability to pass a drug screen
• Basic English language skills (both verbal and written communications)
• Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed
• Ability to lift, push or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds by hand
• Must wear safety composite shoes
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time
• Must be at least 18 years old

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
• Minimum three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience

Nice to Have

• Prior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack and cherry picker
