This executive leadership role drives strategic growth for GreenState Credit Union by leading community engagement, fostering business partnerships, and collaborating across departments to increase membership, loans, and deposits. The VP Business Development will oversee new market entry strategies and provide directional leadership for the credit union's community giving initiatives to align with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to increase credit union members, loans, and deposits through community outreach and business partnerships
- Lead and collaborate with multiple departments to align business development efforts for consistency and maximum impact
- Establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships with Select Employee Groups (SEGs) and community partners to drive engagement, growth, and brand awareness
- Oversee the deployment of a cost-effective financial literacy program that enhances community education and engagement
- Provide guidance and feedback on tools and resources for retail teams to successfully sign-up members outside of branch locations
- Lead the GreenState strategy for community interaction, including developing a comprehensive approach to championing and enhancing brand visibility and reputation
- Direct business development activities in emerging markets, including opportunity assessment, partner identification, and groundwork for successful market entry
- Provide leadership for GreenState’s Community Giving strategy, including oversight of charitable contributions, sponsorships, and initiatives
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team responsible for partnership development, community engagement, and business growth initiatives
- Participate in presentations and seminars to promote and sell products and services, meeting with major employers or prospects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 15+ years of progressive business and management experience
- Demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams and executing strategic growth initiatives
- Expertise in cross-functional leadership, business development, and partnership management
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and public speaking skills
- Deep understanding of credit union operations and member engagement strategies
- Ability to manage complex projects across multiple markets
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, good driving record, and adequate auto insurance
- Must be bondable
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive business and management experience, preferably within the financial industry
