About This Role

Serve as a Vice President within the CBRE Valuation & Advisory Services (VAS) Hotels team, preparing detailed appraisal reports for small to large-sized properties and ensuring adherence to professional appraisal standards.

Responsibilities

  • Identify the value of a property through detailed appraisal analysis, studying appraisal requests and project scope to resolve business solutions
  • Collect data on comparable properties, sales, listings, and vacancies; conduct studies on land use, supply, demand, and marketability; interview collaborators for research
  • Prepare appraisal reports describing property characteristics, procedures used, and information evaluated, disclosing assumptions, conditions, and reasoning
  • Follow the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice, maintaining confidentiality of information
  • Communicate with clients regarding appraisal requests, problems, and project scope
  • Track real estate values and development potential of properties
  • Contribute to team goals, mentor colleagues, and assist with the team database
  • Apply knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions
  • Mentor others and share knowledge of own job subject area and broad knowledge of several job fields within the function
  • Lead by example, model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values, and build consensus to reach agreement
  • Impact customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams

Requirements

  • 8+ years of commercial appraisal experience
  • Hotel appraisal experience
  • General State Certification or License
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Advanced math skills (percentages, fractions, financial calculations)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university
  • Minimum of 8 years of commercial appraisal experience, with hotel appraisal experience required
