Software Test Engineer

About This Role

This role involves ensuring the reliability, security, and requirement compliance of the Minotaur Mission Processor through meticulous software testing, supporting critical national security missions.

Responsibilities

• Devise and apply testing procedures for HII's Minotaur product and outside vendors
• Review software requirements and prepare test scenarios
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements, product design, and potential problems
• Perform test creation, development, execution, and closure
• Analyze test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability
• Perform moderately complex analysis and troubleshooting
• Design both manual and automated test procedures
• Prepare reports on all aspects related to software testing
• Support system integration events on various aircraft during ground/flight tests
• Support system integration, test, and operator training during potential flights on aircraft

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Software, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Demonstrated experience working within a Linux environment
• Scripting experience in Python, Bash or a related language
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US level Secret clearance

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Software, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 0 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, up to 9 years with a High School Diploma for various levels.

Nice to Have

• An active US level Secret clearance or higher
