Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic

About This Role

This role is responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of company vehicles and equipment through thorough preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety practices, policies, and processes, acting in a safe manner at all times
• Safely move company equipment within the yard as needed
• Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on company vehicles and equipment
• Conduct routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment, vehicles, and machinery
• Complete daily checklists as required
• Ensure equipment is properly parked/secured in compliance with facility permit and DOT requirements
• Maintain facility via housekeeping duties

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work in a team environment
• 1+ years prior experience working on heavy-duty trucks and equipment
• 1+ years DOT inspection experience
• Must provide own basic tools
• Ability to pass a background, drug, and physical test upon hire
